La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Cream
Price: $275
Discover the secret of ageless eyes. This luxurious treatment targets the seven most prominent eye-area agers: fine lines, wrinkles, loss of firmness, loss of elasticity, puffiness, dark under eye circles and dryness. Formulated with biopolymer protein, it uses a cross-linking technology and forma a continuous and smooth film, helping to firm, life and restore. Also contains caviar extracts to firm and nourish.
I’m 36 and have been using the Essence of Caviar Eye Complex off and on for the past decade. The only reason I haven’t used it continually is the cost. This is the only eye product I’ve found that actually lifts my upper eye lids. It’s like an eye lift in a jar. You’ll definitely want to add an eye cream to go along with this it. I like Sisley and Awake.

Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum from Drugstore.com

Friday, October 12th, 2007

Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum
1.7 fl oz (50 ml)
Price: $19.44
Sale $17.99
Olay Regenerist helps regenerate your skin’s appearance without such drastic measures as chemical peels, cosmetic surgery or laser. Clinical tests have proven that amino-peptides can help regenerate damaged skin. Olay has now proven that Regenerist, using this technology, also regenerates your skin by renewing the outer layer to give you younger-looking skin. The result? Beautifully regenerated skin, one cell at a time.
This is the only product in my arsenal that I will use forever and never look to replace. Firstly, it makes my skin feel like silk after applying. It balances my skin and just feels wonderful. I wear it alone during the day in the Summer, or with SPF. I have adult acne and I’ve found that this helps reduce the redness and sensitivity of that–and MAYBE even decrease breakouts as well. The biggest reason I love this product is because I have mild rosacea and this serum keeps the “breakouts” of red away. I haven’t had a red face once since I started using it! I really FEEL like this stuff “fixes” my skin. The only thing I don’t like about it is the packaging. Like someone else mentioned, it doesn’t get all of the product out. I feel that for the price, Olay should put it in better packaging!

Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder from Sephora.com

Friday, October 5th, 2007

Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder 1oz
Price: $32
Infused with the finest French cashmere talc, this sheer, silky powder looks and feels natural. A unique light-reflecting ingredient creates a “soft-focus” appearance that smoothes fine lines and imperfections.
I got a good sample size shaker of this powder in a gift which actually lasted quite a while. I have to say that this is a really great loose powder, it is so incredibly fine, even if you put too much on, it blends really nicely so it does look like you don’t have any powder on. Although it looks pale, in goes on invisible on the skin, so I would imagine it works for any skin tone. At the moment, I still have loads of my Shu Uemura loose powder left, so for now I will be good and use that up then buy this.
